Food Trucks

KBM is an ideal kitchen from which to operate your food truck. Full and part-time usage plans available. 16 secure parking spaces, each with overnight power. Close and easy access to fresh water and disposal of grey water.


Caterers

Already have a catering business or want to start one? Here you will find a fully outfitted, commercially-licensed kitchen ready to go to work in. With multiple cooking stations, prep and dishwashing stations, refrigeration, and everything else you need to grow your business.


Farmers Markets

If you have a product that you would like to sell at a farmers market we have a very modestly priced plan where you can bring in your supplies to a commercially-licensed kitchen, produce the item, and take it with you to sell at the farmers market. You can start small and have your needs grow as your business grows.


Bakers

KBM is a bakers paradise. We have a 5' by 12' maple top bakers table, a 20 sheetpan bakers oven and a 2 full rack proof-box. With multiple mixers up to a 140qt the capacity for production is outstanding.

A sales window with a custom-built POS ordering system and Tech support

During the pandemic, we invested in a custom ordering system to support our vendors.
This system allows each vendor to sell directly from the commissary.

In addition, KBM Seattle’s website supports each company that opts to sell directly from the window.
Your information is placed here on the Vendor’s page which highlights your company and showcases your specialties.
This page can also link to your website and online ordering platform. This is intended to facilitate internet sales for walk-up orders.

When the customer arrives, they go to your banner and press the “Arrival” button, this rings your handset and allows direct voice communication. Should a customer arrive without having placed an order online first, each banner has a QR code on it to direct the customer to your website. This system can be used by individuals or any of the food delivery companies.

What is a commissary kitchen and how does it work?

A commissary kitchen is a large shared commercially-licensed kitchen that meets all of the requirements of the county and state for food production and sale to the public. It is a place where multiple companies produce their own products to sell. This means that more than one company works in the kitchen at a time.

Will there be room for me to work?

Our kitchen is over 6000 square feet with multiple workstations, cooking stations, dishwashing stations, and refrigeration units. The amount of room for you to work is determined by the usage plan you choose.

When can I work?

Each company receives a key. The kitchen is open 24/7.

How much does it cost?

Farmers Market Plan

One person working one day a week, same day every week

Bring your raw ingredients, produce your product and take it with you at the end of the day.

$400 /month (plus utilities)


Hot Dog Cart

Access to kitchen for daily dishwash

No dry, refrigerated or freezer storage

$350/month (no utilities)


Part Time Production

One person working up to 25 hours a week

1/2 of reach-in cooler and freezer space

2 shelves of metro rack for dry storage

$550/month (plus utilities)

Two people working- $700/month (plus utilities)


Standard Full Time Work Station

Dedicated work station consisting of 6' stainless steel table and metro rack for dry storage. 2 reach-in door of refrigeration space and 1 door of freezer space. 

24/7 access with up to 2 people working

Large Full Time Work Station
